ALEKSANDER JAWOROWSKI is a fish-passage engineer with a M.Sc in Environmental Engineering from Lund Tekniska Högskola.

Aleksander’s fly fishing and fly tying journey begun in 2010, when he found a stash of his dad’s old fly fishing gear – hooks, feathers, and a big stack of fly fishing magazines. Since then, Aleksander has frequented the waters of southern Sweden, fishing for roach, perch, rainbow trout, and sea run brown trout.

Although Aleksander’s work builds on years of experience, to him, fly tying is like cooking. He is not too concerned with recipes – or specific ways a fly should be tied. He believes food should taste good without requiring too much hassle – and similarly, his flies should catch fish without too much frills. As a result, his flies are innovative yet precise, doing exactly what they are designed to do.

ANNELI XIE is a multidisciplinary creative with a dual B.A. in Architecture and Urban Studies from Wellesley College.

When Anneli was younger, she dreamt of being an artist. Today, she represents the wool of W&B, working primarily with crochet. Her work is an ode to her inner child – exploring the messy, colorful, silly, and imperfect. She believes everyone is creative, and that art should be accessible, encouraging – and most importantly, fun.

When Anneli is not crocheting, she works with projects concerning sustainable mobility at her full-time job and freelances as a content writer and content creator on the side. She is a generalist in the utmost sense, having experience with coding, graphic design, research, project management, and writing. Her work has previously been featured in Z Publishing House’s Emerging Poets.
