Hoover Baitfish

A simple relatively light baitfish pattern made from Hends Long Hair Chenille on Gamakatsu f314. A nice pattern for sea run brown throughout the season depending on retrieve and color. In early season I keep to the pure white - a classic cold water color. I fish it on a floating line and let it get a lot of hang time in the water. Later in the season, as the water heats up the fish becomes more active, I switch to brown for day fishing and black for night fishing. I also tend to use a intermediate line to help the fly get a little depth while maintaining a rather fast retrieve.
